NEW BLOOD PRINT CLUB

NEW BLOOD PRINT CLUB DATES:

SATURDAY 2nd JUNE 2012

SATURDAY 14TH JULY 2012

SATURDAY 4th AUGUST 2012

SATURDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 2012

The cost is £60 for 6 hours of print JOY — from 11AM to 5PM.

DURING THIS TIME, YOU WILL BECOME SAVVY WITH THE EQUIPMENT AND YOU WILL TAKE HOME YOUR OWN EDITION OF PRINTS.

Whether you’re an illustrator, graphic designer or photographer (or a bit of all three), the method of screenprinting mixes these mediums, with interesting results. Experiment with colour and composition. Bring interesting paper. Get creative.

It’s very small classes in a friendly space.

VERY IMPORTANT PREP BEFORE THE DAY: Feel free to email us at info@inkspotpress.co.uk with your ideas, questions etc and we can help you get set up in advance.

The main delay for printing is prepping your transparencies, so please sort this in advance and your day will run much smoother and you can spend more time on your print action ;)

Here’s some things to remember when prepping your image:

The screen can take up to a two colour print, so either two A3 size layers OR one big A2 monoprint. Please note: we can print up to A3 transparencies at Ink Spot - any bigger and you will need to get them printed somewhere like Blow Up Printing or ColourStream — Please ask them to make the image as black as possible, and tell them it’s for screenprinting.

—Whatever colour you’re doing your image you will need to save your image BLACK

—Linework should be more than 0.5 thickness.

—If you are working from a photograph, you will need to bitmap or halftone your image in photoshop first

—Please save your image as a PDF

Bring some extra cash if you need to buy inks, paper or print transparencies.

It’s a two colour maximum print session (setting up a screen is included in the price). Please bring some digital or hand drawn art work with you.

BE CAREFUL, SCREEN-PRINTING IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE !!

Yay. ;)
